Are your van tours suitable for children and is there a discount for children?

Yes. We love to show off our beautiful city to children. "But" we do suggest if you have very active

toddlers, you may want to consider making other arrangements for younger children, so mom and dad

have a chance to really enjoy the tour, too! We offer a $5 discount for children under 12

Do you offer regular scheduled public tours?

Sorry, no we don't. We offer private tours that you schedule with us at a date and time convenient for your private party. We suggest you book your tour in advance to guarantee you have availability for the desired date and time of your choice.

What is your cancellation policy for van tours?

Once a vehicle and a tour guide is reserved for your party, we require 48 hours cancellation notice prior to the tour date to receive a full refund. If canceled within 48 hours of the tour date we have a No Refund Policy. Please check with us for our cancellation policy for full-day, multi-day and theatre events.

What is your cancellation policy for your private guide service?

Once a tour guide is reserved for your party, we require 24 hours cancellation notice prior to the tour date to receive a full refund. If canceled within 24 hours of the tour date we have a No Refund Policy.

Are we on the van tour for the whole tour?

For the movie tour, or Richmond Highlights there is a break midway through the tour for those passengers who wish to stretch their legs, or use restrooms. There are also convenient restrooms located at the boarding and departure area. For all other tours, there are restrooms located at the attraction sites.

What exact locations do we visit?

That will depend on which tour you choose. Please check our website for further information.

What happens if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine but it is always wise to dress weather appropriate. We do not offer tours if ice, or snow storms are predicted.

Is there ever a circumstance when a location is omitted from the tour?

Since the tours are visiting real-life locations, the tour's itinerary can sometimes be impacted by traffic conditions, building hours, etc. Richmond City Guided Tours assumes no liability or responsibility for traffic conditions, access to sites, or other conditions beyond its control.

Are your tours good for sightseeing Richmond?

Yes! They were created to be excellent sightseeing tours to showcase the city. The tours travel through much of the beautiful historic Richmond area. As a result, family reunions, wedding parties, corporate functions, visiting family and friends often find our tours an excellent way to see the city.

Are the tours conducted in English only?

Yes. Since so much of the tour is visual visitors from countries such as Japan, Germany, France, Spain and many others will enjoy the tour just the same!

What type of vehicles are used for the tours?

All tours are conducted in brand new premium vans, or SUV's. We use deluxe 7 passenger vans, or SUV's for parties of 4 to 5 passengers and 12 passenger vans for parties of 6 to 9 passengers.

Is there assigned seating on the vans?

There is no assigned seating on the vans. Since private parties book our tours they generally place their members where they will be most comfortable.

Are there bathrooms on any of the vans?

No. There is a restroom break midway through the movie tour and Historic Richmond Highlight Tour for those passengers who wish to stretch their legs, or use the restrooms . Convenient restrooms are

located at the attractions and at the boarding and the departure area.

Are the vans handicapped accessible?

The vans are not able to accommodate wheelchairs, or passengers with disabilities who must use canes or walkers to get in and out of the vans.

Are cameras allowed on the tour?

Yes. Photography and filming of historical sites on the tour is welcome, however photography, or filming inside the van , or bus during the movie tour is not permitted.

Are gift certificates available for the tour?

Yes. Gift certificates are available for all our tours and make a wonderful present for visitors to

Richmond, or for special occasion events such as a graduation party group, birthday party group,

anniversary celebration and more!

Can I bring my own food, soft drinks, or alcoholic beverages on the van?

Sorry no food, or beverages are allowed on the van, except for bottled water.
