Do you offer regular scheduled public bus tours?

Sorry, no we don't.  We offer private tours  for groups of 15, or more that you schedule with us  at a date and time convenient for your  group.  We suggest you book your tour in advance to guarantee you have availability for the desired date and time of your choice.


What is your cancellation policy for  private group bus tours? 

We require  a  passenger count and payment in full via check 40 days prior to the  tour date. Cancellations made within 40 days of the tour date are non-refundable. If a  private bus tour is booked within 40 days of the tour date, we will accept  credit card payment with an additional fee added to cover the cost the credit card companies charge  us . Please check with us for our cancellation policy for full-day, multi-day, or   theatre events.


Are we on the bus tour for the whole tour?

For the movie tour, or Richmond Highlights tour there is a break midway through the tour for those

passengers who wish to stretch their legs, or use restrooms. If we book a  55 passenger bus for your group there is always a restroom on the bus.  For smaller buses, there are convenient restrooms

located at the boarding and departure area. For all other tours, there are convenient restrooms located at the attraction sites.


What exact locations do we visit?

That will depend on which tour you choose. Please check our website for further information.


What happens if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine but it is always wise to dress weather appropriate. We do not offer tours if ice, or snow storms are predicted.

 

Is there ever a circumstance when a location is omitted from the tour?

Since the tours are visiting real-life locations, the tour's itinerary can sometimes be impacted by traffic conditions, building hours, etc. Richmond City Guided Bus Tours assumes no liability or responsibility for traffic conditions, access to sites, or other conditions beyond its control.


Are your  tours good for sightseeing Richmond?

Yes! They were  created to be excellent sightseeing tours to showcase the city. The tours travel through much of  the beautiful historic Richmond area. As a result, family reunions, wedding parties, corporate functions, visiting family and friends often find our tours an excellent way to see the city.


Are the tours conducted in English only?

Yes. Since so much of the tour is visual  visitors from countries such as Japan, Germany, France, Spain and many others will enjoy the tour just the same!


What type of vehicles are used for the tours?

For all large groups of  30, or more  tours are conducted in brand new 55 passenger buses with

restroom and DVD players.


Is there assigned seating on the bus?

Our guide will require the first two seats in the front of the bus to do the tours. Other than that there is no assigned seating.. Since private parties book our tours they generally place their members where they will be most comfortable.


Are there  bathrooms on the bus?

There is a  restroom on the 55 passenger buses but not on the smaller buses. Convenient restrooms are  located  at the boarding and departure sites and  at  the  attraction sites.



Are cameras allowed on the tour?

Yes. Photography and filming of historical sites on the tour is welcome, however photography, or filming inside the  bus  during the movie tour is not permitted.


Can I bring my own food, soft drinks, or alcoholic beverages on the van?

Please check with us before you plan to bring any type of food, or drinks on the bus.
