The beautiful Virginia Museum of Fine Art is an education institution of the Commonwealth of Virginia and is metropolitan Richmond's most popular cultural attraction. The Historical Society offers 13 Exhibition galleries tells "The Story of Virginia, an American Experience." Formerly an English country manor home relocated to Richmond in 1925,  this beautiful the home of Alexander and Virginia Weddell was deeded to and is operated by the  Historical Society. The rooms are decorated in English and Spanish antiques. The eights acres of gardens and grounds provide a tapestry of texture and color year round.
