This morning visit Botanical Gardens and a Conservatory with time to play! Explore more than 40 acres of gardens, including one of the largest perennial gardens on the East Coast.

Following lunch, explore an oasis in the middle of the city and one of Richmond's jewels. Receive a guided tour of the Victorian House Museum, which reflects the lavish lifestyle of American millionaires of the 1890's. Learn about the Hollywood movie scenes filmed on the grounds.

View one of the most elaborate Victorian landscapes on the East Coast. Experience the ever-blooming Italian garden and the Japanese garden with its 45-foot waterfall, 20 specimens of native and exotic trees. the grotto, fountains, gazebos and much more.

In the carriage house see a variety of everyday and luxury horse-drawn vehicles. Weather permitting take a short carriage ride. Or, choose to visit the Outdoor Virginia wildlife exhibits with 700 animals in wildlife exhibits, including bears, bison, bobcats and eagles.

To end this lovely day, relax and step back in time onto a flat bottom restored covered 35-passenger canal boat for a 40-minute water journey. Established in 1785 with the support of George Washington, the James River Company began constructing the first towpath canal system in North America.

Your captain will regale you with tales of the city's waterways and dynamic history. The unique perspective of the canals provides unmatched views of Shockoe Bottom and the city's past.
